$1,800 bracelet stolen from jewelry store in nanaimo - the jewelry store
The thief stole a $1,800 gold bracelet from a Nanaimo jewelry store.
Two men visited the shop.
On Wednesday afternoon, the Royal Mounted Police of Nanaimo said.
"Two suspects entered the business and asked the only clerk to remove a few pieces of jewelry from the display cabinet.
"When the clerk was distracted, one of the suspects put the bracelet in his pocket . "
Said Gary O'Brien.
The clerk found the bracelet stolen after leaving the store.
O'Brien said police later learned that they also visited several other jewelry stores in Nanaimo that day.
The men said they were father and son, he said.
One is about 60 years old and the other is over 30 years old.
Both men were dressed in black with an Eastern European accent.
One is in Russia.
The style of the fur hat, he said, is folded.
Nanaimo RCMP requires anyone with theft information or two men's identities to contact them at 250-754-2345.
