law firm: we won’t be acting on behalf of 1mdb anymore - diamond necklace set

Kuala Lumpur: a law firm representing a Malaysian development of Bhd is no longer acting for the company because of a lawsuit filed by former UMNO leader Datuk Seri Khairuddin Abu Hassan.
He is seeking a court order directing Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor to return $27. 3mil (RM115mil)22-
The carat pink diamond necklace suit allegedly purchased with the 1MDB fund.
Lawyer Datuk Tan Hock Chuan informed reporters of the firm's actions after the court met with high court judge Ahmed Zaidi Ibrahim.
Legal company Tan Hock Chuan & Co has applied for an exit because it cannot get instructions from 1MDB, he said.
The court recorded the application in yesterday's lawsuit.
"At present, there is no lawyer for 1MDB," Tan added . ".
Meanwhile, Damien Chan, a lawyer at Khairuddin, said the court had postponed a hearing to bring a lawsuit against his client.
The app is made by Rosmah, businessman Low Taek Jho and 1MDB.
Chen said that the court decided that June 21 was the case management, allowing both parties to update the status.
In its statement of claim filed on August 16, Khairuddin named Rosmah, Low and 1MDB the first, second and third defendants, respectively.
He alleges that during the period from June 2013 to March 2014, Low purchased jewelry through agents from funds allegedly embezzled from 1MDB.
He claims that jewelry, including a pink diamond, is worth $23 m (RM96. 77mil)
And a necklace worth $4. 3mil (RM18. 08mil)
The first defendant received a gift on March 2014.
The plaintiff requested an order from the first defendant to return the jewellery to the third defendant;
Order the second defendant to pay all the money allegedly appropriated to the third defendant.
