wire wrapped bead pendant - cheap jewelry online
These instructions will teach you to make gorgeous wire-wrapped pendants using drilled beads.
Once you have mastered the technology, you can make many different kinds of pendants, earrings and bracelets with your beautifully packaged beads. (

Beads: you can use almost any kind of beads as long as the holes are large enough.
First of all, though, I would suggest using the size of at least one quarter (about 25mm).
Gem beads are perfect for beginners as they are very durable.
The ceramics and glass look beautiful but need a lighter, more experienced touch.
Wire: even though I prefer to buy jewelry grade wire online, you can use any kind of non-toxic metal wire.
Wire sculptures and Rio Grande are good sources.
I recommend copper or bronze if you are just starting.
They are cheap and look great with Polish or patina.
Start buying at least 5-
Dead soft circle lines 21, 20 or 18 and 5-10 feet
The No. 24 gauge dead soft Circle Line 10 feet.
Buy the wire first so you can choose the beads with the right size.
Tools are very important.
I use cheap jewelry pliers (~$10)
For a while, but once I'm sure I'll stay with the wire wrap, I have a good wire wrap (~$50).
It makes a big difference, especially how tired my hands will be.
If you do that, keep using your cheap tools.
You won't worry that pliers are always useful.
The basic tools you need to start using are: cut the heavier wires into 3 pieces, 8-14 inches each.
The exact size depends on the size of your beads and the design you want.
You will learn to cut smaller or larger lengths when you gain experience.
Now, 1 feet will give you enough flexibility if you are a beginner.
Don't cut the No. 24 wire.
We started using it right away.
Unlike the wrap cable, I like to start the bead setting of the wire wrap with a bail.
Half bend your 3 threads on the core, bail pliers, fat knit needles, or other circles.
The diameter of the core stick you choose will determine the size of your bail.
When you bend the wires, lean them side by side on the core.
Then press the wire around the core stick until you have a perfect complete circle with a long tail of an extra wire.
Take care to make the pliersInexpensive Mandala grab an outside line and continue to pull around the core Bar until it is 90 degrees away from the rest of the tail.
Then, fix the 3 bail lines firmly on the core rod and wrap the separated lines tightly around the tail several times.
As close as possible to the bail to do it.
Before all wires are fixed, leave the bail on the core stick for as long as possible.
Do this by gently separating the tail line to observe which line is centered at the most.
Bend other wires to the side to make room for your beads.
Twist the beads onto the center wire and bend the wire to the bottom of the beads.
This is the stage where you use your creativity to turn the wires into beautiful designs.
If you're not sure what to do, take a look at the pictures in this note or search for "wire wrap" for more inspiration.
A common element of this type of pendant is the winding wire.
You do this by winding the lights (24 gauge)
Wrap one or more heavy strands tightly together.
Another way is to wrap the coil around the core stick, the skewer works fine, then slide the coil down and slide it onto your vertical line. (
I tried to leave the wire I was winding on the spool.
When I went, I found it easier to measure. )
The real art is from here.
The filament is a delicate vortex and dive that makes up the design of the wire packaging.
After the beads are set up, you do it with all the loose ends of the wires.
What you do is entirely up to you, but here are some basic tips and tricks: this is probably the most common design element in wire packaging.
You make a small round ring at the end of the wire with your round mouth clamp and make a wreath.
The coil is then wound into a tight spiral with flat-head pliers.
To do this, one hand holds the wire and the other rotates the wire, rotating it for a quarter at a time.
You can make a rose knot for a different look with twisted or untwisted wires.
It is interesting to make coils and shapes with wires, but keep them in moderation, otherwise the wires will bend easily.
Pull the dive wire tightly to the set position and find a way to fix the end on the other wire.
When you're done, just trim off the extra wires (
Other items can be saved)
Stuff any loose stuff down here.
Touch the rough spots on the pendant with your fingers, then rub back and forth on a piece of fabric.
If you find any sharp spots or wires;
Archive, trim or fold the wires in question until everything goes very smoothly.
Now you can add a patina, buff and/or seal your pendant if you want.
When any finish you add is dry, your pendant is ready with a rope or chain. Have fun!
